Since you are all such nice people AND since I promised years ago AND since I will not be frequenting HL very much in the coming weeks/months due to recording far more important stuff than all these silly remixes, I made you all this little chillout rework from "1959".
Enjoy while it lasts
It's the first one on this page, of course...
IZ off.

as i hate anyone fcuking about with the sisters ,and the word "chillout" usually fills me with dread ,i was more than pleasantly surprised.
very tastefully and respectfully done,Izzy -especially liked the string-effect synths...strings would've sounded awesome on the original.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Could've been that Klezmer festival I visited yesterdayruffers wrote:Although in my humble the strings were a touch fiddly at times
Actually, I was kinda visualising how it would sound if a woman would sing this (Hooverphonic- or Moloko-like) and then I added the instruments I wanted. Then afterwards I un-muted the original 1959-track and it worked out pretty well

I was close. It wasn't radically different, it was an extended, almost dub, mix.
I got bored, though, so I just closed without saving.
I did remixes of a related artist's songs. Whether they'll want to use them, or want me to release them or not is another matter. Whether I'll ever get any feedback on them or not is also another matter.

I can just see him crooning into an old-fashioned mic, wearing a suit, on a stage covered in roses, while some young lady is dejectedly draped across a piano plonking at the keys.James Blast wrote:is this from the much talked about 'Izzy the Lounge Years' album that's been rumoured for years?Izzy HaveMercy wrote:

Oh, wait a minute........
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Together with 'Burn2004', 'Corridor' remix (original Mumbles Product) and 'Take me Back to the Real Slim Shady', it's gonna be a stonking EP!

I abandoned the choirs (my own choirs BTW) because they started to annoy me after a while... the tune is monotonous as it is already (instrument-wise, not chord-wise), so I wanted to jump to different instruments along the way.
Next song 'I want More' or what?
Nah, thinking about a Reggae version of YCBTO
