string vests, shaved heads, facial hair, tight jeans...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I didn't take any pics in the end because I was stuck behind a load of other people in the crowd which gathered round the beer garden overlooking the route (and of course it's timsinister's job, being HL's Official big gay northernerâ„¢, or so I'm told.) but it looked rather good.

Best float was a big army tank, painted pink (belonging to Amnesty International) - clicky.

I have no need of an excuse! After all, the only opinion that matters is mine.

There are worse places to be stuck! :notworthy:

Excellent picture too, it's clear why the Sisters approve of said organisation! War on Poverty, clearly. I cannot identify it though, it looks like the chassis of a Sabre or a Scimitar under a heavy gun, of about 50mm! Odd...

Well I'm usually wrong about things.

For instance, I didn't think this thread - which was purely a one-line joke on Von's new image - would reach 2 pages...

It's stream-of-consciousness (or semi-consciousness in some people's cases) posting. ;D
