Despite struggling with a rickety version of 98 and Media Player 7 (people were ALIVE then?!), I'm now listening to online radio stations at work. But, they're mostly s**t.
Can anyone recommend a good station to be listening to? I'm not going to chance my CD collection in the office, I might not have a sympathetic audience.
Cheers!

ARE MY RECOMMENDATIONS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU NOW, JUDAS?!
Well, if you want more, you might want to try Digital Gunfire (www.digitalgunfire.com), or Amped Out (www.stoicnoise.net). Don't know how they'll work with yer computer, but you can try anyway.
As though I haven't already laid enough EBM and synth-bollox on you!

As mentioned elsewhere, I hardly think the Company is ready to deal with my more...esoteric music tastes. Nor do I want to risk downloading Soulseek onto the work's PC.Raving Mad ScotGoth wrote:ARE MY RECOMMENDATIONS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU NOW, JUDAS?!
Culprit - totalrock's occasionally on, as I browse the stations. It's a bit too hit and miss for my tastes.
Richey - Tried it; can't get any of the BBC stations, for love nor money nor swearing nor hitting it with a big stick. Alas.

really? this place is firewalled up to the hilt and i manage okay. unless you're using the beeb's p*ss-poor excuse for a player? you need to grab the link and open it in media player manually. works for me anyway.timsinister wrote:Richey - Tried it; can't get any of the BBC stations, for love nor money nor swearing nor hitting it with a big stick. Alas, I can't - media player seven doesn't recognise .ram files, which is how you manually open the feed - right?RicheyJames wrote:really? this place is firewalled up to the hilt and i manage okay. unless you're using the beeb's p*ss-poor excuse for a player? you need to grab the link and open it in media player manually. works for me anyway.timsinister wrote:Richey - Tried it; can't get any of the BBC stations, for love nor money nor swearing nor hitting it with a big stick. Ed - Wouldn't dream of it. Being ripped apart by you is one thing, mounting a feeble defence against the Heartland Double-Xs is just f**king suicide.

Realplayer Alternative - http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Rea ... native.htm
That should do the job for you. And possibly get Winamp and look through their radio stations.

If you get a dynamic domain name like dark-radio.no-ip.org, then the IP change won't be an issue. I think that they provide a client that automatically updates the domain details every time you come online.
