And now I'm happy.

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

For this lovely thing came in the mail this morning. The finest thing (with the possible exception of the uber-rare Hong Kong "British Invasion" LP of synthpop on red vinyl which no-one's seen before) in my record collection:

Groovy.

Just a quick question, do you actually play them, because I would have thought that
  1. They'll knacker your stylus and
  2. Your stylus will knacker them.

I hope you'll be very happy together!

He doesn't need to play it...I've got a stackload of vinyl, and no turntable/decks/gramophone. It's OWNING them that matters.

Dunno how it'd knacker my stylus, but no, I probably won't play it.
If I do, it'll be straight into my computer, and recorded.

In any case, you don't usually play flexis, cause after a few plays, they're not really as good quality.

You see this is where I differ from you lot...

A record's meant fer playin' I/We have tons of old records that would probably be worth a mint if we hadn't played them...but if we hadn't what was the point in buying them

Weirdo's the lot of ya's :D :D :D :D

Well, the reasons for buying this were:

1) I'm a fanatic collector and want these to add to my collection
2) This way I feel I'm indirectly supporting the Russian black market

The reasons for not playing it are:

1) I don't know how many times I'll be able to play it before it becomes unlistenably bad
2) When I'm able to connect my turntable line-out to my computer and record it I'll play it, and not before.
3) I'm a stubborn bastard.

He would be in a mint condition too, if I wouldn't have cuddled him so often. :|

And I was pleased with my 'aquarium'.

Would you like it rigging up to 'fire' fog out of its mouth, with a strobe light behind it? 8)

Come round and decorate my house, immediately.

Watch out Dark.

Cuddling your rarities does as much damage as playing them.

Won't it look pretty sitting in a glass "do not touch" cabinet? :innocent:

Only if he's been good, I presume? If he's bad, he has to go back and sit in the kennel?

It's sitting in two plastic sleeves and I will keep it close to me at all times.
Besides, I only kissed it 3 times and cuddled it twice.

And I'm not going to make any of the 4389572389456928 jokes I could make about your post. It's too early.
