THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
got a question for you. let's see if anyone knows the answer. maybe it's too easy for you guys but still...
Q: in which sisters of mercy song is the volume of the snare drum slighty increased?
HINT: there are two versions of the song. in one version the snare drum is slightly increased at the end of the song, not right at the end but at the pre-end so to speak.
dont post your answer right away. let the people not sure go through every sisters song that there are two versions of.
hmmmmmmmmm..... u serious?
its the umm..... hard to explain.....
listen to lucretia on the slight case album. u'll hear a highpicted drum sound, first comes the bass drum, then the snare. its quite loud.
my fav song this is. anyway...
the version of the song used in the video is a bit different from the original on floodland. i haven't listened to the video version in a while but i've listened very closely to the promo version found on some boys wander. on this version sounds can be heard in the background during the verses. i also experience every third snare drum in the verses to be a bit louder. it could be every fourth. can't remember right now.
What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
Hee hee....could be really awkward if they chose to do one version against the other....mid song the 'big' E would turn round perhaps and boom....'Hey' that snare drums too loud we're doing the other version!'
Snare drum that the one with strung wires across the bottom - if you chose to use a real drum kit that is.
I feel awkward here in Sisters Chat, don't ask me any questions and I'll go
