I have read two books by this guy, Alternative Music which is basically an encyclopdia with tons of reviews (including sisters but I don't have the book here to include his comments) and Burn Out: The Cult of Death in Rock n' Roll and they were both very good. He has a wide taste in music and really knows his stuff (or his researchers do). Without commenting on cure/sisters/goth issue, I will definitely pick this up.
