In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Am getting really worried about my job at the moment......my class has only 19 c ...I've just lost lost one and two more will be gone within the next 4 weeks.......

Our whole school roll totals what most schools have in one class. :urff:

Back in my days (which is 2 to 3 years ago) I've always been in classes of 5 to 10 pupils...

In fairness, 43 is a 6th form tutor group, so we're never in anything but registration period together. However, lower school classes average around 32 students. Since I chose allegedly difficult subjects, my classes range between about 10 and 15, but I can't speak for other classes.
