the promise of a stick, a pat on the head, or even a rub of the tummy will usually be more than enough to win him over

No, seriously, it was having everything removed or his death. Had crystallization in his urine-tubes, caused a blockage = blown-up bladder.smiscandlon wrote:That's probably for the best.MadameButterfly wrote:Male although all is gone.

Like a girl and has the same opening too....shame he is fine though. Not to scare anyone but does get thrown down two flights of stairs in an epileptic-kind fit. Has happened twice and *knock on wood* hope it does not happen again....scares me...

Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"

Seriously, cat-attack? Death by purr? Termination by "Being ignored until dinner-time, and then disappearing for six days and freaking out your owner?"
Anyway, He doesn't need it, I saw the Roadies...you'd need a small field gun to get through!
Well, that or a metric tonne of pharmaceuticals.

Memory lapse... is it good or bad luck if a black cat crosses your path?
Because one tried to hump my leg, canine-stylee, at the weekend.
It was the neighbours' mog, but it came into our garden and I went out to see it... sat stroking it for a while, talking to it about stuff it was no doubt completely uninterested in. I've never had a cat but this one seemed to like me rather too much! It's come back again the past two days...

i'm never sure -black cats are sometimes considered lucky in as much as you get black cats with the horseshoes,wooden-spoons etc for wedding charms.but one crossing your path i think is to do with witch's familiars and so would unlucky i suppose.boudicca wrote:Memory lapse... is it good or bad luck if a black cat crosses your path?
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Unlucky if it crosses your path.
If it copulates with your ankles, you'd better look out for falling safes, exploding boxes marked ACME, or inexplicable cliffs.
Just a hint.

It depends on the country. I may have got this the wrong way round but I think in the US, they consider it lucky, whereas here, it's considered unlucky.eastmidswhizzkid wrote:i'm never sure -black cats are sometimes considered lucky in as much as you get black cats with the horseshoes,wooden-spoons etc for wedding charms.but one crossing your path i think is to do with witch's familiars and so would unlucky i suppose.boudicca wrote:Memory lapse... is it good or bad luck if a black cat crosses your path?
<----- My own big black mog, has brought me nothing but luck until very recently. He had a severe leg injury 6 weeks ago, and as I didn't have insurance, it's set me back by a couple of grand. He's had some serious scaffolding put into his leg and has been in "cage rest" for the last 6 weeks. Not much fun for either of us but he quickly realised that if he takes up residence in his basket, he gets to stay out the cage for longer, and now he's worked out how to open the bloody thing. He had his follow-up today so hopefully be getting the external scaffolding removed from his leg very soon. His leg won't recover fully but I'm hoping he'll get most of the use of it back.

Cats of cours
mine is called "child", quite fat by the way, excellent hunter though , he always brings his victims(or better what is left of them) to the doorstep, not exactly the best sight at 7:00 am ,
a fine creature

Our cat's name is Sailor, since when we found him he obviously had sailed quite far astray... dirty, skinny and broken... kind of like some goffs, hadn't it been for his red/orange and white fur...
