Great gigs you've been to

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Pukkelpop 1997 with Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Metallica, Bush, Eels, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Dinosour Jr. was not too bad at all.

I loved all the Sisters' gigs especially the Tilburg one.

Laibach, Kings Cross, La Scala - 2003..

I don't know what the sound engineer was doing but the sound kept getting cranked up and up with each song till at the end it was overpowering..

Shame he wasn't at the Electric Ballroom last year which was far too quiet.

Another almost great gig but too quiet was Front 242 at the Astoria in 19whatever, just after Headhunter came out. There are some things that need to be punishingly loud...

Yup, the sound at that one was crap to say the least..

Though even worse was the sound engineer at the Skinny Puppy gig at the astoria last month.. he totally ruined it for me.. I don't think he realised you could turn the bass eq knob down a bit..

and as for F242 - don't! I flaming looked forward to seeing them after moving to London and the buggers have stopped playing!
