New Years Eve Goth Weekend in Whitby - Itinerary

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

ALL ABOUT NEW YEARS EVE GOTH WEEKEND ITINERARY!
So, what's gonna happen on this fine weekend then? Hold tight, order your
pint in and read on...

Friday
Exchange your ticket for a wristband in the Metropole between 12pm and 4pm.
We will either be in the foyer or propping up the bar. Either way if you can't
find us hand your ticket over to the bar staff and they will give you your
wristband. Make sure you put your wristband on ASAP and don't lose it as you
won't get another one. Your wristband gives you full access to all 3 nights
of the event. It is waterproof so you can, ahem, share a shower with someone
;0) Don't forget to keep the stub of your ticket if you are having a meal as
this is your receipt you need to get your meal.

7.00pm - 1.00am Join in the pre-New Years Eve festivities and line your
stomach ready for the big night tomorrow.

Saturday

you like - Ball gowns, 70's Punk, 30's Gangster - the choice is yours!!"

11.45pm The bar will close until after midnight so the staff can see the New

plenty of drinkies in to toast to the New Year

As a nipper Whitby Abbey genuinely frightened me.

These days though i'm frightened by far more scare worthy things. In fact I’m man enough to admit that Ken Dodd frightens the life out of me.

The evidence:

He’s f**king hideous looking.
He’s called Kenneth.
He’s made out of wax.
He has Salem Lot style vampire teeth.
He’s shifty looking.
He probably owns a futon bed.

I'm just a-walking in the sunshine,
Leave your troubles all behind you,
I think I'll drink a little red wine,
I'll take you where they'll never find you
