Won't make it in today...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

How terribly grown up
Weirdly so from me eh?

I've always had a problem with this - everyone in the company/team/whatever is paid to come in and some people take the p*ss. Stuff they don't do becuase they're too lazy has to be done by someone else...

In Timothy's defence, he does stumble in regardless of how hungover he is...

Reason being, he has a stupid job where he gets paid for coming on HL, eating Pot Noodle, crumpling up bits of paper and throwing them around, and having the occasional very loud argument with me...

Did I come over as pointing the finger at Tim...if so I apologise. It was more a sweeping statement directed at anyone who gives in to the resulting effects of the night before :D

In my case I had sole responsibility for the work I was doing so nobody else was landed with it when I was off - it just meant I had to catch up when I got back, so I only had my own guilt to deal with. In previous jobs (that I hated) I didn't skive precisely because the workload was shared and I didn't want to land my colleagues with extra work - plus I would have been fired!
