the rose of avalanche

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Beware the Rose!

I fell into that trap when I bought a 12" of theirs in the 80's

I wouldn't bother. Too contrived for me.

Download it from somewhere on the net. Listen to it and recommend it to yourself...or not.

They weren't that bad.... I saw them a couple of times and bought the main tunes, LA Rain and Velveteen anyway. They've got some kind of "greatest hits" type album I think, as the man says download it from somewhere. Heck, I might even do it myself after this reminder...

You gotta love a band that makes a tune out of someone else's bassline (from a cover) quite so brazenly !

Get singing Lazarus - "The skies are black and the sun don't shine...."

Perhaps for a change we can LET a thread get a bit ugly?

It's boring if we're all nice to each other all the time. Richey would be out of a job, for one.

There was a low price compilation released about 5 years ago well worth getting, Mick Mercer did the sleeve note.

Never another Sunset was probably there best studio album.

I.... cough.... probably caught them live around 10 times, and have all their albums.

Believe it or not, their 1st three albums on cd regularly go for £30-40.00 each on ebay!
