Headcount for Black Oktober

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

he'd only want to talk about Joy Division and The Chameleons whilst doing a bad dance with a bottle of organic beer in his hand

The number 23 appears in many mysterious coincidences but only to those who notice it.

Twenty-three is the ninth prime number, and the fifth factorial prime, the fifth Sophie Germain prime, the fourth safe prime, the second Woodall prime, and the second Smarandache-Wellin prime. It is an Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part and real part of the form 3n − 1.

23 also has the distinction of being one of two integers that cannot be expressed as the sum of fewer than 9 cubes of integers (the other is 239).

23 is also the sacred number (along with 5) of Eris, goddess of discord, according to the Principia Discordia; it is the number of the Illuminati.

The 23 Enigma is a belief that the number 23 is of particular or unusual significance, especially in relation to disasters.

Unusual circumstances being linked to 23 are mentioned by William S. Burroughs. He tells the story of meeting a ferry captain named Clark who claimed to have sailed the same route without an accident for 23 years. That very day, however, the ferry sank. Later that day, Burroughs writes, he was thinking about Clark's ferry accident when he heard that a Flight 23 on a New York-Miami route had crashed. According to Burroughs, the pilot's name for the flight had also been Clark. Burroughs began collecting incidences of the number 23 in a scrapbook and referred to them in his writings.

at a Psychic TV gig, I picked up a TOPY pamphlet/manifesto - they had a meet organised where a 5 a-side tournament was to take place. They called it a 2+3 a side. go figure
That's when I decided it was daftness, daftness of the highest order and daftness that should be side stepped.

Up yours Mr/Mrs Porridge!

That's not quite how I would describe Quiffy's Jo. Fiesty and fab maybe. So I'm more than happy to point you out to her Paul. I'm sure she punches way above her weight and height. :innocent:
