God only knows what you lot are on about, but anyway Mark, I for one am well impressed with the origami yoda. I've got a 'pattern' for an Alien, but it's hard as f**k. I'll stick to me frogs.
EMWK - have you been trading jokes with my Dad? ...
A US fighter plane over Iraq is stunned to see a local on a flying rug appear alongside his plane. Then another appears on the other side. Panicking, he pulls a loop manoeuvre, gets them in his sights and blows them to kingdom come.
When he radios-in this bizarre event, he is berated by control.
'You fool, you've just shot the Allied Carpets!'
See, you have haven't you?
Currently geeking...

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Although with it being a first attempt, I did f**k up a bit on Yoda's fingers.

Doing a Manic Miner conversion. Trying to make it play as much like the Spectrum version as possible, but updating the graphics.
Room 1 (Central Cavern) background taken from a screenshot from ZX Spectrum emulator version:

It's still in progress; I need to work some bugs out of the collision detection and redraw all the sprites from the cacky little Spectrum graphics.

I should have guessed from the furtive expression and terrifying shirts you were an emufreak, Marky.
Impressive work nonetheless! Massacring the innocence of Spectrum for the graphic whoring of modern gaming. You cad!

Well, if I can get the b@stard to work properly... Sometimes Willy just stands in mid-air and doesn't fall when he's supposed to, and sometimes he won't walk on platforms that are there. And sometimes the guardians kill him when he's nowhere near them.
It's an extreme case of Friday Afternoon can't-be-arsed-itis at the moment though.
It's a fookin' excellent game though (the original I mean) , just let down by the speccy's graphics "capability". Plus if I do get it finished, it'll teach me some stuff for making my own games, which I'd quite like to do.

You've seen the Manic32 version I assume Mark? Quite old by now I guess, and more or less a straight copy of the original.
In your version, for the love of all that is right and proper, put a savegame facility in. There's a good boy.
And looking damn good so far.
