A Slight Case of Overeating

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm sure I saw her in a club in Southend the other week. She turned me down, obviously.
Because there's nothing more a Dark Elder God likes than to go out on the razz in the English riveria, eh?

Does this sound like what it sounds like when you literally translate it into Dutch? :urff:

A ruck in English means a fight - but now I'm curious about what it means in Dutch!

Err, let me see, don't quite know how to translate it, think MB might know a better one... Anyway, it has a sexual connotation, it almost equals masturbation

I'm even more puzzled now - how can something ALMOST equal masturbation? On second thoughts, I've always thought linguistic differences were a good thing. It's probably best that everyone in the world fails to understand each other most of the time...

Ah, well, okay

The verb 'rukken' means male masturbation, but it's more like a popular (Flemish) term for it, can't think of any in English at the moment... So in the same sentence as sperm (whale) you can see our problem

BTW It seems a Sperm Whale is a 'Potvis' in Dutch, or literally translated a Lesbian Fish (again, popular term for lesbian, but anyway)

Can't believe I've just been explaining this,

Don't apologise. The knowledge that a sperm whale in dutch means a lesbian fish has improved my day beyond measure. Now, do you know we have birds called tits, boobies and shags?

No wonder Europe was always at war with language mix ups like this..

I can just imagine the Dutch diplomat asking the Belgian diplomat for the whipped cream and getting slapped instead....

*Mental note to self*....never ask for a slag in any country.
