an announcement worthy of wider appreciation than a quick mention on radio 5 live news.

the (one and only) albion have been greenlighted for a new stadium next to the university, rolling hills, dedicated rail link, good pubs in walking distance.

the withdean has it's good points, but they are nothing to do with being able to host any level of footie (and it's seen several over the last 6 years).

well, i'm pleased anyway

And I'm pleased too, it seems to indicate an acceptance that footie is actually important.

It had better be a pretty stadium though considering where it is

I've just remembered that one of my more miserable football experiences was at the Goldstone ground when Sussex's finest constabulary decided it would be a great idea to make all us City fans take our footwear off. On the terrace. In the pissing rain.

So I've changed my mind. I hope your ground's rubbish, the roof leaks and you plummet through the divisions.

Ruffers my first City game was against Brighton at the Goldstone, I stood on a wooden box as I was 7 years old and didn't get to cheer once lost 2-0!! Great days.
