Oi!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

And so they should be Lee. Kids are what it's all about. At least until the buggers start talking back.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

you're right francis;and at the risk of sounding boring and predictable it 's something you can't fully appreciate until you've had one. 8)

Yeah, one minute you're fidgeting around, worrying about how you're gonna make ends meet now she's stopped working and then they stick a towel in your arms and you peel it back and see this little face sniffing up at you and BAM! your heart leaps out into it and nothing else seems to matter any more. Unreal.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

I'm sure your missus could make a sarky comment or two about the pain involved and the wording of that statement ;D

Francis wrote:@Dark: But you've still not got a record to plug. Or have I missed something?
As Motz said, yeah, the guy with the CD printer is on holiday.
So far we have 5 "test pressings" done (the first 5 copies, one of which I posted a scan of, all have the same songs on them as the next 95, but they all have a pixelated grey ring about 5mm in from the CD edge, which shouldn't have been there.)

However, it seems these copies are reserved now for the ones who asked first. That'd be: Me, ChaZZerS (who sang on one song, and will be drumming on the next few songs, as opposed to use using a drum machine like we did on this CD), Motz, MB and.. I can't remember who the other person who asked was. smiscandlon maybe?

Either way, all going well, we should be able to release them in about a fortnight. I know ye've had to wait, but hey. Keeping you all in suspense.

What can I say, a lovely woman with poetic and artistic flair, a love of red wine, and the ability to make me smile? What's not to like about ye? ;D

You're on my list of "People to buy drinks when I'm 18", along with Lee, Ness, Motz, Mr Ray, Quiffy, Emily, Francis, Mark, Boudicca, Zeno, Tim, some people off here I forgot (it's too early), some people from alt.gothic, Gary Marx, etc.

having a baby is by no means just the carrying it for nine months and then giving birth. as i wouldn't want to go through either (for more basic reasons than pain which is transient- ie the abstainence) i can't complain but it's fair to say that being the "able-bodied" partner of a pregnant woman is no small thing.
apart from the attending to their every whim, and all the extra housework and day to day single-handed running of the home and family-which is the easy bit- there's the plain hard fact that pregnancy hormones send women fucking barking mad. :urff: so even if you've exceeded your natural limit for usefulness and attentiveness you are bound to have done it all wrong. for nine months.

Ah, congrats with your year on here :D

There'll be even far more to enjoy in the future, that's for sure :von: ;D

And, if everyone you'd buy a drink would buy you one too (as I would - thanks for putting me on it BTW), I imagine you would get quite drunk

I've learned from experience I don't really get all that drunk.

Whiskey, however, does help in that. Gives me nice dreams and blurs everything just a little. I still can carry on a discussion on goth music even after having some, as well as plenty of various drinks mixed with orange juice, so I think I'll be fine.

Of course, if you're going to test that theory, I have no objections.

Quite frankly, I don't think it could have been any more noticeable if I'd put it in my sig in large bold letters. :P
