Never

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Even worse: never read a book of H P Lovecraft / Cthulhu Mythos stories straight before going to bed, unless you want scary nightmares and to wake up screaming.

I scared mrs fiend half to death. :|

@markfiend this may have cropped up before but have you read any of August Derleth (lovecraft's editor)'s cthulu mythos??

I'm sure I have a 'Lovecraft' novel completed by Derleth after his death - "The Lurker at the Threshold", perhaps? Years since I read it though (or any of the Mythos stuff).

which is sort of what i was going to say -i rate his writing as being considerably better actually. lovecraft reminds of philip k dick in as much as they were both blessed with fantastic imaginations (dick 's short stories have been made into countless classic sci-fi films) but their writng let's them down.

derleth strangely is a better writer than editor.the book of his i have is "the mask of cthulu".

I've never read Derleth.

It's just struck me; in the Bond film Never Say Never Again is that Never say "never" again or Never say "never again"?

"Never again", obviously. IIRC it was some wordplay with the fact Connery had said never wanting to play another Bond movie anymore. And he did this one, so... Or?
