New Tribute Album

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Don't you just luuuurve the google-engine?
Heres what I found on a Polish Sisters-fansite.
Translation please.

Jak podaje belgijski Side-Line Magazine na rynku pojawi się kolejna płyta z cyklu Tribute To The Sisters Of Mercy o tytule Thank You!. Tym razem numery Sisters usłyszymy w wykonaniu: Terminal Choice, Atrocity, Umbra Et Imago, Letzte Instanz, Dkay.Com (Ex-Die Krupps), Unheilig, Nik Page, Die My Darling, Unheilig, Foetus, Mantus, Samsas Traum, Warren Suicide, Frown itd.

Seems that you could be rite about that Foetus-thing, Quiffy...

Here's another one:

"Anti-goth Sisters get a goth tribute as thank you"

"Thank you" is another Sisters Of Mercy tribute CD out on the Orkus related Zoomshot label. Although the band is no longer that keen on being put in the gothic corner, they now receive a tribute from bands such as Terminal Choice, Atrocity, Umbra Et Imago, Letzte Instanz, Dkay.Com (Ex-Die Krupps), Unheilig, Nik Page, Die My Darling, Unheilig, Foetus, Mantus, Samsas Traum, Warren Suicide, Frown and so on. The band that no longer wants to be goth celebrated by the dark community, let's see what Eldritch has to say about that...

Ya...I'm only slightly interested in it for Foetus' version of First, Last And Always. With Mr. Thirlwell your always guaranteed something radically different from the original.

Terminal Choice - angry German EBM
Atrocity - by my opinion metal with gothic touch, by their own opinion... maybe gothic.
they have made an album of different covers.
good old songs from 80s or mostly from 80s - don't remember exactly
(and my friend who has it lives in another town).
"Wild Boys", "Tainted Love", "Great Commandment" etc...
but I prefer the original versions from those songs.
