Where's a Timelord when you need one...?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

[quote="Obviousman] They originally 'invented' it in order to save energy (in the 70s?). But it turned out to save no energy at all

not true, was originally adopted in world war I and mainly II to assist production in factories etc; thought everyone knew that. ho hum :?

main reason for still moving it around is ~ proven reduction in RTA's, although energy savings do still count

Speaking of time (which I'm sure we were), IF the moon landing was faked, I'd quite like my early morning and several wasted hours back, please.

it was the car-free sunday that was invented during the oil crisis in the 70s in order to save petrol. (at least in Germany  ) Maybe you mixed that?

Still, PIB, no reason to sound arrogant.

No, no, I'm quite sure the woman I mentioned before who protested against summer and winter time said it... (Belgium and Holland had their car free Sundays as well)
