not so new here but still...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

normally i don't really like introducing myself, but this time i was encouraged to do so... :wink:

so let's see what i can say about myself; i'm 28, belgian (originally from bruges, but currently living in ghent), got to know the sisters when i saw temple of love '92 on tv but only got really interested in them a year or 2-3 later. was blown away by the industrial groove machine for the first time in '97 (dour festival), and have seen them a couple of times since then, last time being the lokeren concert last summer (still very impressed by it :notworthy:)

used to be goth but then i grew up and these last years i've been mostly interested (music-wise that is) in drum'n'bass and breakcore (venetian snares, enduser, ed rush & optical,...), drones (hafler trio, troum, mirror,...), industrial & noise (ant-zen stuff, merzbow, militia, con-dom,...), microsounds (alva noto, goem,...), other 'intelligent electronic and not so electronic music' (like plastikman, aphex twin, boards of canada, supersilent, biosphere, deathprod,...) and stuff like ladytron, adult,...

other interests are graphic and interior design, minimalism, vegetarianism/veganism and animal rights (my nickname says it all ;D), zen, modern art and oriental food...

guess that should be enough for now... :|

oh, and i still haven't found the five isabelle adjani pictures on the sisters' site... :x

I'm still around GW for the promotion and the fun of goff-bashing.

Actually, that's ALSO the reason why I'm still here ;D

Don't most people just 'pass through' on the way to somewhere more 'interesting'? :von:

Maybe it's just me. :wink:

You don't know what you're missing guys :von:

:lol:

@meaty: God forbid Antwerp becoming a West Flemish colony :eek: Though it'd be funny hearing 'Gerrit Callewaert' in Antwerp :lol:

@IZ: You bet we're outnumbering them ;D
