Floodland Demos

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I think most of these are on a boot called "Voices From The Beehive", which has remained unsold in a record store near me for a couple of years now. (although, thanks to this thread, that may have changed by tomorrow.) Why anyone stocks Sisters CDs over here, let alone boots, is a mystery. Perhaps I'm the market.

What's Candle? I've never heard of that Sisters' song before.

Isn't that song instrumental?

Yep instrumental, sounds a bit like another song, but can't really think which one... Have to give it a better listen at home, iPods during lessons aren't really appreciated

Acquired the boot containing most of these demos tonight... "Acoustics From The Beehive."

I'd only heard Dominion and Lucretia before, and found them rather unexciting, but some of the others are quite interesting. Neverland and Untitled, at 7 minutes apiece, in particular. Well worth it for these 2 alone. Good to have a decent quality recording of Good Things too. :)
