Hello!
I'm bored and I got the flu so I've created a new mailing list.
It came to my attention there's the need for a new space to talk about subjects not necessarily focused on the Sisters but gathering all of us people with the same tastes in music. I'd like to talk about our different cultures, our countries, politics, music - of course!!!, our beliefs... Share some humour too. And make new friends. Anyone else interested, just join!
This list has no intention to "steal" people from Dominion and/or Heartland. - By the contrary, I love the two projects. - Maybe it could avoid off-topic discussions and a lot more flamewars on Dominion (yeah, like if!...). As for Heartlanders, it's a possibility to discuss subjects a little deeper through a mailing list like this, and it's certainly a comfort for people like me who can't stay connected to the Internet all day long... and for people who like to give it a lot more thought to the subject before answering.
The name has to do with the fact that it is an alternative and, of course, with the type of music we (well, I) listen to.
Everybody is invited. I mean EVERYBODY. Even the evil Chairman Bax and the evil Chairman Bux.
Oh, there's only one rule you have to obey: there's no rules.
And no topic.
And no banning.
However, I'd like to have tolerant and open-minded people there. Goths (and no Goths) will be welcomed. That's enough.
The welcome message is:
"This is a group for people sharing the same interests (or most of it) in music and culture to talk about everything on their mind - with or without relation to the Sisters.
This group is NOT moderated, certainly NOT censored and absolutely NO ONE will be banned. This means boys and girls: RESPONSABILITY is up to you. In other words, you start a flame war, then don't come crying to moddie about the boogieman. Cause I won't be here.
Hope everyone can have a great time and make new friends worldwide. That's what Internet is for."
So it's all about that: making friends. It takes time but it's worth it.
Everyone can join.
Just go to
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/alternative2003
and click "join this group".
If you don't have a yahoo account I advise you to get one so you can access to every features of the group.
And that's it. Hope to meet you there.
Ive created a new group: Alternative2003

But I kinda like the old nun.
Anyway,
Merry Meet
That "nun" was a REAL Sisters of Mercy - I grew a bit tired of my old avatar - the blue background I found a little disturbing - and her smile was well.................

You can always join and chose the option of "reading the msgs at the web page" or something similar. You don't get any email that way, but you're a member and can post...
Come join us!!

Just don't choose "special notices only" because there aren't special notices.
Thanks G'nith

This sounds dead funny when you see the current Quiffy avatar.
Mind you - by the time you read this it'll have changed again - another point lost!

found this on another board:
it refers to this part of the page:To all yahoo! and Yahoogroups users -
This may be of interest to you.
Yahoo is now using something called "Web Beacons" to track Yahoo
Group users around the net and see what you're doing - similar to
cookies.
Take a look at their updated privacy statement:
http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/pixels/details.html
About half-way down the page, in the section "Outside the Yahoo!
Network", you'll see a little "click here" link that will let you
opt-out of their new method of snooping. I recommend doing this. Once
you have clicked that link, you are opted out.
Notice the "Success" message the top the next page. Be careful
because on that page there is a "Cancel Opt-out" button that, if
clicked, will *undo** the opt-out.
Feel free to forward this to other groups
