THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
seriously. the security were everywhere, shining spotlights on you. if you so much as tried to take out your camera they swooped and pulled you out of the venue...
they can see the glow from the lcd screens on digital cameras
it happened to about 3 diff sets of people stood around us
as i say, i managed to get a couple of crappy ones

and yes, i did enjoy it. it waas much as decsribed in that thread about their other gig - bit more stripped down than the 98 dates, but still very, very cool
friday's set list was identical to that one posted too, but on saturday they dropped bela
i forget which one they put in its place... it was very cool though, but there were some seriously pissed off people afterwards

dunno. this was the security for "the nokia times square arena" - a brand new venue in the middle of times square. i'm thinking the ultra-tight security was more to do with the venue than the band.
you could order a CD recording of the gig beforehand, and collect it 15 mins afterwards
we didnt bother though.

I found that link too. It and the Bauhaus site are fairly ambigous if those would be the only ones to be offered. Alas, when talking to the sound technician, he said that no more gigs will be offered like that, at least on this tour. Fortunately there was no check at the venue where I saw them, so I am hoping that someone got a recording devise in.
Re cameras at the Bauhaus gigs.... i know what you mean...despite having back stage passes, the security were adamant they were gonna take away my camera at the Minneapolis show, they finally relented after promising not to use it during the performance. I was tempted to take a few...just as well I didn't as we saw at least two people thrown out by the security.
Managed to get a few pics of the wife with Kevin Haskins after the show...even then I felt a little awkward, fearing that some big bloke was gonna chuck me out on the street.
Great gig though
