Hmm. A bit of trawling turned up this picture:
If anyone has a better one, please chime in. As you can see, it's not exactly the jacket advertised at Nates, so I'm presuming - as I did before - that it is a regular jacket that has simply been modified.
In a similar vein, can anyone identify the patch on his right shoulder? Barely glimpsed, it seems to be - from recollection - a tricolour with three or four stars across the middle. For some time I was convinced it was the old Iraqi flag.
Any clarifications gratefully received.

The flag is actually the flag of the city of Chicago..timsinister wrote:Hmm. A bit of trawling turned up this picture:

I think the jackets are the same though maybe with the lining taken out.. I mean, who would play a gig wearing a fur lined leather jacket..
sweatside!

Actually looking at it, it does look like a standard Chicago police jacket, worn a size or two larger than normal..

Gift from the Chicago PD, perhaps?
I still get a laugh when I recall an earlier post where someone referred to it as 'that Vanilla Ice jacket'.
But we all know Von's a bit more subtle than to glue plastic shiny letters that read 'Word To Your Mother' on his nice police coat...
