Once In A Lifetime Opportunity

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Go here and then search on Michael Ashnikov.

Is it just because he sounds like a certain Russian assault rifle?

The band's singer wishes to delegate some of his jobs

Well, it was a fearsome workload he was dealing with...
Do you think the 'rest of the time' spent in Leeds would have included cashing the Giros?

Have I got this right - this is true, and the estate on the Mediterranean (probably the French part of it from how the mail is edited) was Mr Starlings studio?? Big news compared to what we're used to.

The mysterious message said Mediterranean, and the Coronets guy inferred France from that. Whereas the proper inference would have been Spain, which is indeed where Mr Starling lives. I mean, could anyone imagine Von living in France? That grievous insult alone would explain the utter lack of a response from the Sisters operation, surely?

The France link was one of the things that got me doubting

On the other hand, in France he would get noticed even less, don't you think :?:

I could. He has indicated more than once (like in the BBC talk from '03?) that he has a place where the sun shines, besides Leeds. Although the big GPS interview gave me the impression he was hanging out somewhere Carribean. And I think he's only slightly more anti-French than de Gaulle :-)
