McHeartland Christmas gathering?
OK, how's about it? I was discussing it with Blast and he can't make weekdays and I'll be away between 20 and 27 December. Of course there would be no reason why it couldn't take place without us but, we're most often the only ones who turn up for these things! Anyway, I'm up for suggestions about when and where.
What about a "Post" Christmas - New Year Friday or Satarday if more people could make it?.

I'm up for that. Will be bloody busy though. Saying that, I'm sure we met up around then last year. It'll need to be somewhere we can hear ourselves speak though. The Horseshoe was quite good but their toilets are almost as bad as the Phono's. The 13th Note was good as well, and thier bogs were far better.scotty wrote:What about a "Post" Christmas - New Year Friday or Satarday if more people could make it?.
How much bloody time do plan to spend in the bogs Andrew? , what about "The Griffin" again or the "Nice & Sleazy"?.Andrew S wrote:I'm up for that. Will be bloody busy though. It's the cider that does it. Sleazy's is having a total makeover just now so I'm not sure it'll still be Sleazy's when it reopens. The Griffin's handy for me and should at least be free of dreadful Christmas music.scotty wrote:How much bloody time do plan to spend in the bogs Andrew? , what about "The Griffin" again or the "Nice & Sleazy"?.
Someone remind me why I've got Wednesday 28th December coloured in on my calendar!Andrew S wrote:I was discussing it with Blast and he can't make weekdays and I'll be away between 20 and 27 December.
My thoughts exactly. But then again, you'll always find me in the toilets when it's my round.scotty wrote:How much bloody time do plan to spend in the bogs Andrew?

And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.
I think the "Sleazy" opens on Christmas Eve, and did "The Griffin" not have "Moonchild" playing the last time Andrew .Andrew S wrote:It's the cider that does it. @Boudicca, you bloody well better be there my girl or you will receive "smacked legs" upon our next meeting .
@Francis, that was the first date put forward by The Barman, but as Andrew said, he can't manage that now.

You don't need to worry this time, what with it being around Chrimbo hopefully I won't have undergone four days of virtual starvation, sleep deprivation, and running around Leeds like a blue-arsed fly.Zuma wrote:Let me know when you get a date sorted and

anywhere but pizza hut...
@Francis - I expected better from you!

Oh oh oh... BUT don't make it the 26th, there's always "family" stuff then. And on Jan 2nd I'll be jetting off to Barcelona...

Thanks for kick starting this one Andrew
The 28th looked real good for me to begin with, but it turns out I have to work that week and meeting you lot on a school night just doesn't seem right. As for venue, I favour The Griffin - good beers, friendly atmos, fast service and toilets that aren't a three day camel trek away (a'la 13th Note). Weekend nights are good for me or the week after Mahogany. I'm sure we can get oor shyte thi 'gither and gie thay soft southern Jessies a guid showin' up this time
