Hello all!
Just a question to try out your knowledge
As far as I know Black Planet has never been played live. Are there any other songs by The Sisters that never have been included in a live set? I mean official songs not demo songs.
Yours
Dimehart
What sisters songs have never been performed live?

Thank you again Paint it Black!
Even if Gary Marx has the rights to Poison Door and Black planet I think it's strange that they weren't played live at the time he was in the band. At least Poison Door is quite catchy and would be a great live number!

Rights to songs wouldn't be a problem, they still play (butcher) First and Last and that was a Marx tune, also the Blackplanet video was shot after Marx departed.
Basic law is you can re-record or play any song, but you have to ask the copyright holder if you wish to change the lyrics, or tune distinctly

well, it was mimed live.
I think we'll all agree that is was the sisters' finest hour.
They should use that chain effect more often.

"worth tracking down" Of course it is - what sort of Sisters fan are you
Seriously tho, it's really funny - Andrew, Adam, and what looks like most of whitesnake camping it up in a fully lit studio.
Classic.

oh yes it is. It's "special". I could watch it all day. With the volume down.Scardwel wrote:I've never seen a video of this legendary performance on Peter's Pop Show - I take it it's not really worth tracking down?
The yellow smokers jacket, short, short hair, UtG era sunglasses, backing singers, awful stage... I could go on and on.
I would really like to "liberate" (read as obtain) this live rendidtion of "I Was Wrong" - do any of the learned masters on this forum have a URL i could possibly be able to download it from - or any other Sisters on Video for that matter - I would be eternally greatfull!hallucienate wrote:oh yes it is. Pray tell - why would the playing of "Bury Me Deep" be Ironic? - I am being a Schlepp or something - (apart from its GOTH feel, of course)Black Horizon wrote:The Sisters Of Mercy have never performed "Bury Me Deep" live either.
How ironic would it be if they performed it on this upcoming tour.

'Fraid my copy of Peters pop is a dodgy old vhs, and despite my techy leanings I've never had the kit to turn my vids digital.
I'm pretty sure that (beyond that new live vid) theres no sisters movs on the web - there was a whole page of em for a while but they went - sharey-type programs are no use either :-(

I've never seen it wither.Scardwel wrote:I've never seen a video of this legendary performance on Peter's Pop Show - I take it it's not really worth tracking down?
But regarding Sisters videos on the web, well, i currently have on my computer (all this was d/l from kazaa):
* all the wake set, which is divided into seven parts
1- falaa, body and soul
2- marian, no time to cry
3- walk away, possession
4- emma, amphetamine logic
5- a rock and a hard place, floorshow
6 - alice, fix
7- knocking on heavens door
* 1959
* detonation boulevard
* dr jeep
* dominion
* lucretia my reflection
* more
* temple of love 1992 (the complete video, most people on kazza don't have the whole thing)
* temple of love live on totp in 1992 i think
* this corrosion
* under the gun
and a few mov. files which are not that great regrding quality but anyway
* black planet
* body and soul
* falaa
* marian
* no time to cry
* walk away
and more recently, from a french website which was posted here in heartland
* we are the same suzanne, live St. Vith
All this was gathered through the web, so there are at least a few running around.

Well, and what about, ahem... You Could Be the One?
They should play this one live if they haven't already
Maybe they could have a whole gig with only the songs they never played live.

more was aired a lot around 1992 and abit in '93
and when you don't see me was played for the speed kings warm up gig in 1990
a rather nice gentleman from South Africa has a rather cool tool for checking what songs have been played when
