Sisters in 2006

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Bite the bullet is not the same as kick the bucket. I do not take the message as a death knoll at all, just a play on words, similar to eXXile five years ago.

The silver bullet part sounds like a werewolf reference, which may be somewhat goth. :innocent:

Anyway, I will be in England, Scotland, and Germany during the second half of February. No, I do not have insider information.

I now believe this is not at all a one-off. I would guess it will be something similar to Event Horizon. Clever birds whisper a qualified guess about the meaning of the source code (lunar & martian dates) But what do I know, I just hope they are right :innocent:

Seems they just made an entire concept page, which covers everything that could be included

Code: Select all

The only surprise is the recent and remarkably inventive whining
of fuckwits who think that
dodgy darklings have some <NOBR>god-given</NOBR> right to
hijack a Sisters gig merely by alerting their closest neighbours,
surprising us at a soundcheck and
&#40;reluctantly&#41; letting us hear their &#40;naturally&#41; bad CD,
five hours before showtime.
Is this new :?: :lol:
No - you can find that story here.

Das machte viele Leute sehr wütend und wurde allenthalben als Schritt in die falsche Richtung angesehen."

Not a good idea if you want information on the Sisters. While I am hopeful that Hamburg (with a cameo by Andreas :eek: ) and maybe Berlin (with a cameo by Terri Nunn :eek: ) will work out while I am there, I seriously doubt that I will see any signs of the Sisters in Quedlinburg (except maybe at the Kloster on Münzenberg, but those are the wrong Sisters).

How about this one:

Vegas = Gambling
Silver = Second price

So we're not going to get the exact thing we were wishing for, but the next best thing... Which wouldn't be that bad either :wink:

Incredible how quick you can come up with these theories, right :lol:

I dunno, I've read it over and over, why is he going to Vegas and biting the bullet ?. Why do most people go to Vegas? Could it be the end of his bachelor lifestyle.

How about this;
Vegas = Fat bloke from St Helens on "Geetar"
Silver = :von: was bitten by a "werewolf" while on tour in deepest Germanica.

So weve got Jonny Vegas on lead guitar while :von: transforms into Lon Chaney Jr in front of our eyes :eek: :twisted: , can't wait for that :innocent: , like I said, "Dusty Bin" :roll: :twisted: .

Las Vegas = The Grassfields

It's not the new Wembley stadium, is it? :innocent:

Or the Leeds United stadium? :)
