Sisters in 2006

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

First post, long time lurkie, so helloooo!

I'm hedging by bets on it being in Yorkshire, or somewhere in England (wish it was Scotland, but...).

Not sure if he's so sadistic as to play in Vegas, or maybe he is. :)
no matter where you go, there you are.

Doing a gig in Yorkshire ... or anywhere for that matter won't really make me "very surprised". I reckon he's having a height transplant.

Hey, a hit thread - and not a "currently" to be seen anywhere.
I still don't have the faintest clue what the f**k most of you are on about though.

And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

To be honest I wish he would cut the crap and stop playing stupid f**king games....(Might have something to do with the reason why he hasn't got an audience anymore)....Just tell us the truth man, or if you haven't got the venue worked out tell us when you have.

Maybe we should play some games with him...lol..."We might turn up, only if there's a full moon and the wind is blowing in form the east...and Only if Mr Eldritch wears a pink latex cat suit on stage *thinks of some random numbers to put on the end of the reply...1745-463-5280*...See the metaphor/meaning in that? No you don't?. Your right i just made it up, creative aren't I.... ;)

The bite the silver bullet reference must be to do with the 25th anniversary, its the most obvious.

The term biting the bullet is normally used in reference to putting up with pain or having to carry out a tedious task. (Eldritch has always said he hates touring)...

The Vegas part might just be literal, and He might want to celebrated the 25th anniversary in a seedy city like vagas.... (He can kill two bird with one stone, play a gig, get out of his mind, find loads of lose women).

*There again I'd love to see Johnny Vegas on bass...*

(Mr Elritch really does suffer form delusions of grander sometimes...Personaly I think the date has a literal interpretation. If he's playing games, he's got way to much free time on his hands and should get his finger out and do some thing more worthwhile).

Byron over and out.

P.S Guys i'm just playing, no harm meant.

To announce a gig in York in the same place as in 2001 by writing USA Las Vegas must be the second most boring joke from the band ever, following that about single releases in '98...
But I'd say Yes thank you. For me, England's cheaper and easier than Vegas to get to. 8)

I hope they do a sort of "world" tour. and i hope they play in London or somewhere easily and cheaply accessible from London, I can't be doing with all this flying.

I have bought my plane ticket to the UK for February 2006 already last summer (of course I don't have any inside information, don't forget how far I live from anything reasonable).
If they will play in Germany (for example) I will just throw my ticket away and come to see them anyway. If Las Vegas isn't a metaphor or hint to Johnny Vegas or something like that, you'll probably find me boozing in the dirtiest pub of London that week. Welcome to join me! ;D

The only surprise is the recent and remarkably inventive whining
of fuckwits who think that
dodgy darklings have some god-given right to
hijack a Sisters gig merely by alerting their closest neighbours,
surprising us at a soundcheck and
(reluctantly) letting us hear their (naturally) bad CD,
five hours before showtime.
 That's us, isn't it?

They're biting the bullet, in which case it won't kill them, no? :D
That's what I'm sticking to anyway.

And now, I have disappeared so far up my own analytical arse that I can see out my mouth...
Perhaps you, I don't even try to make music, that way it could never be me ;D (nor do I consider myself a dodgy darkling :innocent: )
Good thing I never wanted to ask the Sissies if I could support them.
I think Mr Ray or Mr Vega would be slightly more supportive to those of us who are of the "darkling" persuation.

Leeds is only about 20 miles from York, so it shouldn't be a problem, either by road or rail :)
