Well, it's official now, so I can finally post this.
For Greater Good (project of your humble servant) will be opening for EBM gods Front 242 on March 3, 2006 in the AB (Ancienne Belgique) in Belgium.
The Front 242 '25th anniversary tour' consists of two Front-concerts on March 3 and 4, together with befriended support acts, afterparty DJs, installations and an art gallery about the history of the band.
The AB can contain up to 2500 people and is sold out for the two days.
This is the big one, people. Still kinda woozy about the news myself actually
The FGG site will be updated later this week when we have the official GO, but it is already comfirmed to us by Daniel, Front's head honcho.
Lit candles in favor of the FGG camp will be appreciated, as well as the sending of four leaf clovers, rabbit feet and other paraphernalia.
IZ OFF.

Goddamn, someone suggested me to go and I didn't get tickets
It's completely sold out, isn't it?
Crap!
But big congrats anyway, you deserve it

Holy hell, man, how did you pull that one off?
But I can't send my 4-leaved or 5-leaved clovers. Mostly because I can't remember which books I pressed them in.
Can we expect a bootleg in the Weeding section too?

About 'pulling that one off', that's knowing the right kind of people really
Ed is violist of ambient pop ensemble Troissoeur, who were signed with the Belgian ZOKU label (sublabel of EMI), and they started to cooperate with Daniel B. production-wise... then Ed introduced 'his new project' (FGG that is) to Daniel and he really liked it. Also Sam is now a kind of PR man for Troissoeur so he also knew the entourage.
That and a whole lotta luck.

Well if you do get to London with them a backstage pass would be greatly appreciated, and I do a wonderful selection of bribes of a more illicit variety...Izzy HaveMercy wrote:With 2006 being the 'silver bullet' year for Front too, your wish could as well be grantedGottdammerung wrote:now you can do us a favour and persuade F242 to play London soonish!

Well, IZ, did you expect the freeloaders and schmoozers to turn up so quick after your newly gained fame?

it used to break my heart to see F242 play London just about every Christmas time when I got into thejm first about 15 years ago and I was stuck in some backwater of Scotland unable to make such a huge journey..
Then when I relocate to London they stop playing!

Well, I dunno about the other dates.
The only ones confirmed for the mo are March 3-4.
Check out Front 242's main site or the very nice Evil E. website, Front's official bootlegger and long-time friend (who also made the photo's for FGG's first gig in Belgium last year, so yes, another connection!)
