anybody else gone and bought this? what did you think?
it looks like a locked off camera was set up at the back of the gig and filmed the entire thing from one angle, no zoom ins, no footage from the side of the stage, no other bits. Ok I know it's live gig but it doesn't look they made any effort.... I know they can better

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

It's called "Thunder in the Black Cave", from a gig in Belgium in Jan' 2004, it doesn't really capture what a Lorries gig was like back in the day, which is a shame 'cause they were fuckin' magic , want a copy Lee?eastmidswhizzkid wrote:i hadn't even heard about that before now, cheers for the warning. it's a shame 'cause the lorries are wicked live. anybody up for making a hypothetical back-up copy -purely for assessment purposes of course.
Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"

when i saw the Lorries play in the early 90s i had a VHS camcorder with me, and asked their road manager if i could film. he said, 'where's the camera?' i said, 'in the case here.' he said, 'keep it in there.'
some bands were cool about it, Mudhoney gave full permission, so did Thrill Kill Kult and Meat Beat Manifesto. even Helmet said yeah, but Faith No More's manager (same tour/night) said the camera has to leave after Helmet.

The Lorries were one of the best live bands I've ever seen; a serious bloody racket! "Chance" live was better than any drug....
Shame about the DVD; I've not seen it either, assuming that it would hardly be an elaborate affair.
