ALAN MOORE KNOWS THE SCORE. PART II

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm excited. But hope it's not the disappointment 'From Hell' was.[/b]

I didn't think From Hell was that bad a film. Obviously not a patch on the graphic novel, but hey, what is?

Anyone know if the long-rumoured Watchmen film is any nearer to, well, being made?

I watched the trailer for V, and it looked intriguing. Could be fun.

I thought From Hell was okay but it had an air of fake all over it. Studio environments, much too handsome leading parts etc. I don't know.

Anyways, Watchmen looks to be put on hold. IMDB says Paramount put the project in turnaround: the producers are taking it to other studios. Alas.

Ah of course, IMDB. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks. :D

IIRC Terry Gilliam was going to direct it but it was yet another ill fated project.

It would be a massive undertaking but if it's done well it would be amazing. I'd like to see Aranofsky direct it.

I was thinking who would be good as the main characters?

for some reason i can't get the trailers to play... :?

i'll reserve judgement until i see it. obviously as a huge comics fan i am terrified at the idea of just how bad this could end up being -there is enough precedent for awful comics-to-film adaptations- but having seen the fantastic treatment given to "sin city" there is hope.

re: the wathchmen film -i wish they had just given terry gilliam the money to do it; i cannot think of any other big-name director i would trust to handle it.
