Gigs in 2006?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Leicester, on the other hand, is a place you can't blummin get out of.

finest one way system in england -if the point of one way sytem's is to drastically increase your exposure to horrendous native drivers whilst getting you ever more hopelessly lost.

i lived there most of my life and learned to drive there ness, and i can only just manage to direct somebody if i'm not driving.

Said it before, I'll say it again.

Leeds is the City With No Exit.
A friend and I were deciding what certain cities were, and owing to the fact it took my parents nearly an hour to find the way out of Leeds (we'd barely even gone into the city), I felt it deserved that title.

Mind, I suppose the train station counts as an Exit To Wakefield or something.. :P

Leeds is the city with several identical shopping centres, a multitude of winding roads, an ability to completely disorientate you and yet nowhere to sit down.

"I know where we are now!"

Yeah. It was the city where there were large fountains, a park near a churchyard, and identical shopping centres which somehow lead us walking almost into the Phono.

It's OK once you've had enough practice.

this year started very nicely: I witnessed the Coldcut try out gig in Brussels last saturday... and liked it very much! :notworthy:

I've also seen Black Wire last week, but they didn't impress me (or anyone else in the room). That's life...

And next week thursday: The Fall in my town! Yieha!

Good timing Ginger, I've just put The Jeep Song on.

One of my fondest memories is of a party - the one where The Procrastinator was born and at which I was the only male present - where all of the women accompanied, somewhat drunkenly, Coin Operated Boy. I was hoping for something a bit more exciting to film, as opposed to some vague nervousness all men feel in hearing aformentioned track, but Drunkards cannot be Choosers.

It's Gaz who turns in to a drooling gibbering wreck at the sight of her. If you remember, I NEVER WENT ON THE CHAMS EUROPEAN JAUNT so never got to meet her..........................................I'm not in the slightest bit bitter.... By the way...in my bag I have a 'Congratulations in your new home' card a 'Christmas' card and a 'buffuffdi' card

Oh, and next on the gigging list - Hugh Cornwell in Spilsby....only famous for a windmill

Bauhaus, obviously.
Hopefully the Sisters and the Neph.
And now it looks like I'll be going to see Morrisey - although I was only
ever a moderate Smiths fan it strikes me a churlish to pass up the opportunity to see him in Aberdeen.
Normally I have to travel all the way to Glasgow for gigs.

I think it's going to be a good year.

I consider Leicester, Derby and Nottingham on equal footing with respect to impenetrable one way systems which make me want to kill people.

I'm going to see Half Man Half Biscuit in Derby in about 2 weeks.

I think I should probably set off quite soon...

And Debaser, that penetration gig.... was 2003! Ooh, time flies!
You ain't seen me, right?
