i think the thin line between eldritch the persona and taylor the man has become very very warped over the the last 20 or so years, but the massive quantities of vodka and anphetamines will do that to a person, and looking in the mirror doesn't really help anymore...
Yes, but one thing is a sex rock god another thing is a old junkie believing he is the best. Let's hope - only hope - the last isn't true.
as the the protection of the family bit, is it that, or von's public and not so public antics (sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll, not to mention the public and not so public outbursts violence over the years...) that have made them turn thier collective backs on him i wonder.
You mean, it's the family that seeks protection from him, not the other way around?
Hehehe, I can understand that.
But still back to the family issue, namely the supposed actor brother, wouldn't it be funny if we all know him and we don't know about it? As a fan, I believe that's cruel to us, really.
It's bad enough that we don't have pictures of Eldritch as a child. Yes, as a child. Like in Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Manson. What kind of person doesn't like to show the cute little thing we (well I) used to be?
That's what puzzles - amongst other things.
not so much the pissed up comedy uncle, but more of the dangerously drunk old relative that gets punched in the mouth for coming on to the dangerously young third cousin (once removed)...
We call it misinformation in my country unless you know what you're talking about!...
i think meeting him could/would/should be interesting, if you engage him as a person and not a godhead and slaver all over him like a wanton hussey...
I didn't get the part about Hussey, but yes, I'd like to talk to him like two normal people would, not to mention we supposely have at least one favourite band in common and we could discuss that... Unless he deslikes the Sisters of Mercy, of course. - NAHHH!
