whale i'll be damned

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Don't have a clue actually... Probably because tripod doesn't allow its images to be displayed without the site or so and you had it loaded before? I'm rather sure I've seen this thingy a couple of times already so :|

if you really want the geek explanation (you may want to call Mrs Scotty in on this to explain the science bits ;) )...

You can see image because you visited the website and the image is stored in your browser cache (a bit of space on your hard drive where bits of websites are stored so that when you look at that site again you don't have to download all of the bits again).

But some websites protect their images from being posted on forums and other sites (it's called 'hotlinking') because it uses their (expensive) bandwidth. When someone (like you) tries to post an image hosted on their site, instead it shows a small default image saying "image hosted by Tripod" or whatever (it could be worse, it cold be Goatse or BoxGirl - don't ask, just google them if you need to know).

Anyway, you post the image but you still see the real image (because you visited the originating website, and the image is stored in your cache) but everyone else sees the hotlink version of the image - the "image hosted by Tripod" icon (or Goatse, or BoxGirl...)

Johnny it is sad that this amazing being of nature has died...

something that happens in nature...
the strong survive and the sick, young and old, slow, die...

it is sad because of the beauty of the animal, as there are so few left...

but on the other hand, those of us eating meat or other animals think of *hunger* at that moment and don't think twice as to what they are eating or how it got there...

in nature these things happen...
an isolated incident insignificant and forgotten in a week.

hard sad facts of today

or not... *hope springs to mind*
it's all about circles and spirals
that ongoing eternity

Another prize nonsense quote from Mr Fuck Heid. I'm past caring with you Jock Homos. I'm past reading your shite.

Ban me Quiffy and let the sad fuck have his life. He needs it. Badly.

What do I care?

I have a life.

I think you're refering to this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasabi

Anyways, poor chap got lost I guess, I think Whales are pretty
sophisticated animals so if they 'wander up the Thames' they're
probably already pretty unwell or disorientated.
(I mean, if a bloke swam up the Thames I think Sky news would
think he was pretty disorientated wouldn't you??)

Nonetheless, as pointed out, animals live, animals die.
thats the order of things; this is just a sensation story
since it happened in London.

I was really sad to hear about the poor thing. Seemed like he was going to make it as well... :(

I thought there was another one, further down-river down-stream. What's happened to it?

I'm with Johnny on this, the post modern take of "I dont give a fcuk, lets have a laugh about it" sucks.

Not what I expected to come home to. :|

Of course we care, every animal dying is one too much. And at least they did an effort trying to rescue it, in earlier days that wouldn't have happened for sure...

But you'll have to admit it's not your mother dying, is it?
