THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

In one month the big machine will roar again. Though I won't be crossing the Atlantic I'm pretty excited about it........
Counting down.....
funny isn't it
most of us don't even go to the gig's (ever) and we all act like little schoolgirls
Yes we do...we certainly do!
I went to only 5 gigs. That's 1 gig every 5 years....
Please let me make it up........in Europe!
It's just the generally pleasing news that the group (in some form) is still functional (in some form). The US dates, admittedly, have made some of us very excited...but Euro and UK dates would have at least given us some indication that Von is still alive and well. The real test is a) if they tour again after this, or if this is a big send-off, and/or b) the man breaks down and signs with an evil record company to produce evil CDs.
Somehow, I doubt there is much excitement at the majors about The Sisters touring ('they're still around?'.....'oh, him....'). Some of the dust of MP3 and corp takeover has settled in the last few years...it can only look better for Von deciding to put something out. (Although you have to wonder whether he or anyone would sign for THREE albums...)
Finishing with a US tour wouldn't be a send off, it would be a "F*ck You" and Von knows that. If this is the last one, it won't be for any reason other than to p*ss us off.
i don't think for a minute that if this were a final farewell there would be no european leg to this tour. he'd more than likely give it a month or two to recover beforehand, but i'm certain he wouldn't do that to us.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

eithr summer festivals, or an autumn (september) tour, e.g. 2000
Well, at least it sounds credible. I have heard worse in the last month (like LV=actually Yorkshire).
Razzmatazz in Barcelona would be the kind of place that wants to have the sisters and where the sisters would want to play.

I´ve sent them an email asking about it.... if they reply me I´ll put it in this topic as soon as I know it...
