Clock radio or silly highend?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

dates from the early 90s. CD player is a bit dodgy, but it's great apart from that.

Always forgettin' to reply here, so here goes...

For normal listening at home: Philips HiFi comprising turntable, CD player, double tape deck, 7-band EQ, 2x70 watt amp, tuner. And Tamon speakers 120 watt dating 1971, and still going strong!

Car stereo: Pioneer cd-radioplayer and Pioneer 2x45 watts speakers. Speakers are crap, player is ok. But nothing beats Clarion for car audio, IMO...

For professional use (I love this part ;D):

Dell Dimension 5000 PC with a stripped-down WinXP, 2.8 Ghz Intel 530 proc., 1Gb mem DDR2, 250 Gb HD, Steinberg Nuendo 2.0 (switching to Cubase SX 3 in a few months, legit stuff this time!).

M-Audio Firewire soundcard, Tannoy Reveal Active Nearfield Monitors 50 watts RMS, capable of max 114 Db of noise ;)

..ridiculously expensive, but the best sound I have heard outside a decent studio set up.

Just as well I got it to review and never was asked to return it :innocent:

Erm, my flatmates parents old stereo :oops: (as mine died and I didn't have the money to buy a new stereo at the time and never got back round to it) and some stonking handmade Cambridge Audio speakers :notworthy:
