Waiting for the upcoming tour, I remembered what bands like Dead Can Dance or Einstürzende Neubauten did not so far ago. After the concert you could visit their websites and buy the CD(s) from the show(s) you had attended. Wouldn't it be awesome to have soundboard recordings of the "Sisters Bite The Silver Bullet" tour? Supposing that Mr. Christo plays fine, of course...
In that way, our fearless leader would even have the capital to invest on a new album.
A good money source...

IIRC, you could buy the CD on your way out of the venue.DGP00666 wrote:After the tour you could visit their websites and buy the CD(s) from the concert(s) you had attended.

I'm right behind Pat in that Sisters queue

I saw Neubauten in 2004 and they did just that---you could buy a nice 2CD-R digipak of the show you just watched for around $35, if I recall. Three sales = $100, and there were plenty of folks who bought (myself included).mugabe wrote:IIRC, you could buy the CD on your way out of the venue.DGP00666 wrote:After the tour you could visit their websites and buy the CD(s) from the concert(s) you had attended.
I totally thought this would be appropo for The Sisters, but part of me thinks that Von wouldn't want to 'lowball' like this...still waiting for "competent exploitation", I guess. And with his disdain for anything resembling an 'official' bootleg...I don't see it likely.
But damn it, it'd be a great idea, and I'd buy...

Well, the longer he waits the more competent some of us get.....Electrochrome wrote:still waiting for "competent exploitation", I guess....
On a serious note: I'd be in that queue too of course....

I wouldn't mind getting in the queue, as long as the ones not attending the concert would be able to get some CDs as well. Would be rubbish if the long-lasting Sisters-bootlegging tradition would stop
If the bootlegging tradition got replaced by something that supprots the Band to become more independant of foreign money sources, that might be worth it.
Old tradition replaced by a new one.
It is best for us if our beloved Sisters are standing on solidly paid ground.
