I Got 'Some Boys Wander...'

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

...in the mail yesterday!! I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised with how good it is. I especially like 'Blood Money', 'Afterhours' and 'Poison Door'. Maybe this will be the motivator to get off my butt and (finally) buy 'Some Girls Wander...'

That's odd - buying a bootleg before an official release? <tut-tut!> :|

I got it a year or two back and by chance discovered an extraordinarely cool track; Untitled. I got the Dominion 12", with Untitled as a b-side, back in the hey-days, 87' was it? Or 88'? But never really cared for it. Until I got this bootleg. The song is like a perfect soundtrack for a very slow, groovy piece of film. It's the kind of tune you would hope to hear near the closing hours at the Sky Bar of an international airport.

Glad someone else likes that too! It's a wicked moody piece of music. On a similar note, I'm also a big fan of Sandstorm.

I like the Dominion Video version with the opening of Sandstorm before Dominion kicks in. That works really well I think.

Oh yeah, Untitled and Sandstorm are both very cool indeed, kind of jazzy like, very good to set the mood for... hummm... relaxing.

Actually i would love to have a CD with tracks like these, jazzy, smokey, slow, hypnotic, groovy like by the Sisters.
