What does that mean? Two different categories of tickets? Anyone who speaks dutch out there?

Any recommendations for a cheap hotel in the city with parking facility?

The Melkweg Max is one a big space, no different levels or tix categories, the ticketmaster website it is not clear about that. it's getting there, and get in front, but there is some sort of a balcony but you cannot purchase tix for that.

Remember when you're getting there, before you enter, you have to buy a membershipcard a 3 euro, you can buy those in advance at the door ( open from1600-1800 and from 1930 onwards). Saves you a lot of time.

I'll look into some cheapo hotels, let you know.

There are several parkingplaces in the center of Amsterdam, but parking is quite expensive. The other thing you can do is park your car a bit out of the city center (cheaper and in some areas free) and hop on a tram. Public transport is fine.

Make sure you book in time, as Queensday is coming closer, most hotels will be fully booked.

I just booked my hotel in Weesp anyway. Seems to be impossible to find a hotel in Amsterdam
1) from April 29th to May 1st
2) price under 60 EUR / room
3) parking facility around...

A hotel in Amsterdam Mhoehahahahahha that's impossible and sooooooooooo f**king expensive it would be cheaper to travel by plane and see the gig than rent a room there with parking !

Weesp is acceptible

But rememer on Queensday there are many flee-market's and there are sooooooooooooooo many people going out to Amsterdam, so If you're going by car, park outside Amsterdam and take the public transport form there !!!

I'd have no problem with flying but the flight connections from Northern Germany to Schiphol over the holidays are not the very best. The hotel seems to be close to the railway station of Weesp. So driving to Holland, leaving the car in Weesp and going to Amsterdam by Train seems to be the best choice. I just hope that the train connections at night are not as bad as in most German cities...

When travel with N.S. (Dutch rail road) you will never be on time !!! so count at least 1 hour extra with the travel ! and at night is desperate !!! Last gig in the 013 Tilburg, I did not even had a train that was traveling to where I needed, My ex GF had to pick me up, becouse I would have been stuck in Utrecht. make sure you have a plan B But on queens day traveling to Amsterdam is horrible !

s**t. Either I'm too stupid (which probably is the case), or there's something wrong with the ticketmaster.nl website.
I've just created an account, but I can't log in. It keeps saying: "This email does not exist".
Yet when I try to create a new account, it says:
"This email already exists in the database, please enter a new email or log in to your account with your normal password".

Has anybody had similar problems?

Regarding hotel: finding a hotel in the city of Amsterdam is not the problem. Problem is: where to leave the car? Almost impossible in the city - especially on Queens Day...

With regards to the station it's "Amsterdam Central Station". From there you would either walk or take a tram to Leidseplein. I'll check the exact tram stop and then it's on your right arriving at the Leidseplein stop. A two minute walk from there.

Also those of you worried about the trains...the last train leaving Amsterdam Central Station is just after midnight, although their are several night buses that go in different directions on a frequent time basis.
