amusing...

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I've received mail for "Korin", "Dark", "Korin The Dark", hell, once a lovely lady sent me a package addressed to "Tom Ashton". I had no idea I was that good on the geetar.

But then, it could be worse. You wouldn't want to send mail to "bodyandsoul666" or "Dr.Rhythm505" or some such.

Heh. Imagine how embarrassing it would be if you had to pick up a package from the Post Office and explain why your ID doesn't match the name on the parcel.

I had a parcel addressed to "TheConfusedEgo" once. There was no confusion, since my parents knew which part of the house their most weird offspring lived and just chucked it up there. Turns out it was a rather fetching t-shirt from the forum that I moderated under that name 8)

Having just inspected the rest of that site - is it a Phillipino Sisters covers band?
Can't we book them for the Heartland do in July?

Just spent the weekend in Nottingham under the name Tim Sinister. The staff didn't bat an eyelid.

I'd question the authenticity of that photo.

There was.

after they'd saddled you with your surname i guess they figured that it didn't matter.
if you had grown-up here you would have to put up with an awful amount of piss-taking i'm afraid.

I can imagine that, though...

Luckily my surname doesn't really have that kind of meaning here. There's only this TV-series on nowadays about a detective de Cock spelled C-O-C-K.
Guess what they say each time I have to spell out my name

First name, ah, well, a zero now and then back in the days, but that's all a bit childish isn't it. Now I only get to hear people who think it's a cool name
