He's got the whole world in his hands...

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

The 'Always Look On The Bright Side' bit goes back to the 15th May Man Utd (spits in disgust) match which Von attended - members of the crew were already singing it backstage the next day..

I love that 'thing' Von is wearing when he sings this. I want one.

I'm sure one existed - I'd swear I had a decent copy a long while ago, filmed from some distance but with a decent zoom and quite steady.
At some point between 93 and 97 I went a bit mental and taped over most of my boot vids. Still kicking myself today.

There's something quite vile about the line "he's got all the children in his hands".

As long as you're not talking about Michael Jackson I guess it's okay. Well, more or less.

Isn't this a clairvoyant reference to Mr. Glitter, thus reducing this thread to an earlier one? ;D

You should have read the lyrics for the version I'd planned for the Nosferatu EP. Makes Eldritch's version seem almost pleasant in comparison.

Though we found a better song to trash on the CD instead. Maybe next time.

I've still got this. Good copy. Good zooms as you say. Sounds is pretty good too. There's some occasional arm waving to obscure the view but its damn good. If I can find out how to copy tape to tape (no brain with techy stuff  ) then anyone is welcome to a copy.

All things considered that track was aimed at the then Bush (No. 41) administration, so in that sense it might had some particular overtones. Certainly with the Gulfwar passed and the mistakes being highlighted around that summer.
