RIP Ivor Cutler

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Legend!

I know he was old - hell he was old in Magical Mystery Tour, but I'm still very sad about this...

RIP indeed.

He did "Go and Sit Upon the Grass" didn't he?

Bloody hell

That was the only work of his I remember hearing, but it had a lasting impression :notworthy:

So sorry I missed this post Libs, the man was indeed a genius. I think he knew he was dying though.
BBC4 screened: Ivor Cutler - A Life
and
Cutler's Last Stand - a farewell concert from the RFH, last year

I have them on tape.
I also reckon he went with 'crinkley slipperette's into that....
Oh... it seems I've forgotten the rest...
