Reminds me of a goth (sorry) event circa 95. I was DJing, put on Fields of the Nephilim's Dust (stonking live version), turned on the smoke, pumped up the volume...
Then everybody turned blind and deaf. How sweet it was. 8)
Then some smart ass made me turn the volume down.

Nice 8)

Apart from the turning the volume down bit, obviously.

At one of the gigs (can't remember which one) at one point there was so much smoke that everything disappeared in it - the stage, the security guys, the space between the front row and the stage, my own hands stretched out in the smoke... That was the moment I could feel the barrier disppear, I could no longer feel it on my ribs and everything was floating in the coloured fog. Awesome feeling. And it was a long while, half of Flood II I think, then the smoke lightened up a little and I could see Andrew so very close to me. He was kneeling, and I still believe he'd been there for this entire marvellous moment. Had he been wearing the string vest, I'd have needed a napkin.

Here, whenever we have bonfires in the autumn and the smoke gets thick, it makes me long for the lights and the sound, it's a very homesick-like feeling and it's painful, but I like it. And I really can't understand the people who don't like smoke.

Yep there was So Much smoke in the blank canvas that night you couldn't see the fella standing next to you. :) But not all Sisters gigs have that much smoke. However the light show just would not work without all that smoke, and after a while it dissipates anyway. That's why your tickets are so expensive, the Sisters require gallons of smoke vapour to evapourate in their machines...

Step outside yourself and be bombarded with a glittering wall of sound and light - there really is no other outfit like the Sisters in all their glory for that surreal live experience. :)

As for the smoke, SGWBM's sleevenotes about sum it up after all. Do we need any more explanation ? :von:

Never mind, the "never enough" option is in the lead, despite being a late addition. ;D

OK, let me ask this other question now you ruined MY poll!!! ;)

Does "Never enough smoke" mean "never enough smoke for every single gig or big event you go"? Or does it means "never enough for a Sisters show"? If the answer is "never enough for a Sisters show" then you should have answer "Typical Sisters"!

I'm not sure at all everybody here would have like so much smoke for Bauhaus, Dandy Warhols, Queens of the Stone Age, AIR, Sonic Youth, etc. You imagine a Jon Spencer Blues Explosion or a Reverend Horton Heat gig with all that smoke!?

For me, smoke was a cool concept for a Sisters show, but no, I wouldn't say "Never enough smoke". I never say never, by the way.

I count 6 never's in your most recent post. That's allot of never's for someone who never says never. Even to say you never say never
requires at least one never. So let's put your none use of never to rest
then shall we. Your are a exploiter of never and have always been! :innocent:

I may never mention this again...

It was my pleasure to cause you such sweet pain. < I believe it was Pinhead from Hellraiser that first said that.

Hmm, I don't know. Most smokeless shows I see come across a bit 'naked' to me, to be honest...
