The correct tracklist for the bootleg is:
01 Crash And Burn
02 Ribbons
03 When You Don't See Me
04 Will I Dream?
05 Flood I
06 We Are The Same, Susanne
07 Giving Ground
08 Summer
09 Dominion/Mother Russia
10 Slept
11 Burn
12 Alice
13 Anaconda
14 Romeo Down
15 Flood II
16 Something Fast
17 Lucretia
18 Break/Crowd Banter
19 Top Nite Out
20 Temple of Love
21 Vision Thing
No F&L&A But nevertheless an EXCELLANT recording.
I'm remastering it as we speak (which basically consists of upping the volume).
I'll upload it for those who can't access Dimeadozen later.

Are you compressing/eqing it beforehand? If it's been uploaded at low volume, chances are it'd clip when brought any higher, in which case any amplification should be done with the volume knob of your speakers (which for reasons I forget doesn't cause clipping), not boosting the recording itself. You'll probably only damage the quality by boosting it and exporting again - compressing and/or equalising could make the recording feel louder (if only you could roll heckles and drunken twats off at a particular frequency ) without bringing the already high levels (typically that annoying thud/squelch which certain low-end recorders can't handle ) above 0db.robertzombie wrote:I'm remastering it as we speak (which basically consists of upping the volume).
I'm far from expert on the subject, but it seems improbable that a "remastering" process consisting of increasing the volume will do more good than harm, unless you're just normalising A straight export to MP3 might be alright though, provided the codec feels like losing the right frequencies
All of the covers / torrents that I've seen just have the date and venue on them. Unless they've been named in trading circles then I don't really see the point in referring to them by a particular name (The Europe 2005 ones are few enough to remember by venue), except for any particularly impressive Silver Bullet boots - I don't think anyone will really be bothered to give unique names to 50+ recordings...

Sometimes i wish everyone would name their recordings just so it would be much easier to keep track of different sources
we've got beer and we've got fuel
This torrent is over 500 megs which would mean it would have to be cut into 6 zip files to be used on rapidshare since they only 100 megs per session. Yousendit would have some poor person sitting there for a day to up it using them. Someone could convert it to mp3 but then you lose the quality.. soo like quality vs impatience.. which will win .
Dimeadozen usually opens up a few new accounts per day.. soo just keep trying. Trust me.. it's worth it.. that site has sooo many high quality live recordings. I pulled a great Cure show the other day from there.. it's from 89 and it's one of the best set lists i've ever seen.

Grr in the process of "remastering" I've lost Something Fast... anyone care to upload just that song?
I have to convert to .mp3 because I don't have a Flac player and I find that the quality is fine.

i don't understand -there's no such thing as a .flac player (is there?). you just use .FLAC Frontend to decompress the .flac to .wav and burn it as normal.robertzombie wrote:Grr in the process of "remastering" I've lost Something Fast... anyone care to upload just that song?

there's a link to that software and helpful info here
there's also a .flac plugin for winamp on there.

To the Sisters and to whoever recorded this:
To my neighbours: I am so sorry, will put on headphones soon
You wanna be carefull about uploading this guys recording in mp3 or lossy formats , when he said in his thread on DAD not to. Some tapers get very tetchy about this and its a bit stupid to bite the hand that feeds you.
Its already in the weeding forum so will be available to all pretty soon.
For those that are having problems with FLAC try Foobar..........
