Sisters last single

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

According to the official site A Slight Case and UTG were released simultaneously.

The release date of A Slight Case was September 21, 1993.

Some WEA reissue thing. The Sisters single on it was:

1. Doctor Jeep (Extended Version)
2. Sandstorm

I've never seen a copy, but I assume it can't be too rare.

Got it. Probably not worth a lot. No cover, just brown paper...

But it's nice to have Sandstorm on CD.

Picked one up via eBay a while ago, not really worth much I would have thought.
Still, reasonably rare as I haven't seen too many around.

Hi..
yeah I got the that single too.
it's a strange one. It's not a single that was released in the stores but it's not really a promo cd either.

anyone know what it is exactly?

Therapy were on the same Top of the Pops show playing Opal Mantra, and the presenter states that they are playing the Reading Festival that weekend 27th-29th August 1993

As UTG was performed on Top of the Pops on Thursday 26th August 1993, I'm guessing it was released the week before.
Give me one good reason

me think that the same version (1.46) of sandstorm is on common "dominion" mcd and same extended doctor (8.54) is on regular "doctor" mcd? so, whats the point then

yeah that's true.
but this is only regular cd disc sandstorm is on.
dominion is one of those smaller cd discs.
but who cares.

this backtrax cd is strange.
it feels ike a promo cd than anything else but it's not.

me think you're right in your observations
but as i don't have the dominion mcd, this backtrax disc was the best alternative in those days. just bought it at an ordinary music store when it was released.
