Ummm. Strawberry Concorde was my "Thunderbird Methadone" for a while, it was quite tame and gentle after one too many thunderbird hangovers..... I still remember (god knows how) a certain day of a certain Reading Festival, Fields of the Nephilim, a bin liner of homepride and three bottles of Red Label..... oddly enough, didn't drink it much after that!Quiff Boy wrote:ahhh, thunderbird. yes indeedy.

Nope, never heard of Night Train.... as far as I remember re. the Black label T-bird, at least a couple of friends of mine had sworn they'd seen it is Birmingham, I think? As a far western Cornwall dweller at the time (still am) this made Brum seem like some kind of Mecca, where they not only sold a stronger T-bird than the Red Variety, but one who's label was BLACK!!!!eastmidswhizzkid wrote: i remember there being a blue and a red label, but a black label i never heard of. do you remember "night train" ? came in a different shaped bottle from t'bird and was made of apples as opposed to pears? that got banned for it's lethal inebriating properties.
On a side note, interesting to see how a topic about goth in the media descends into reminiscences about alcohol, isn't it??

And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"

I typed "pair great tits" into Google Image Search ... probably not the first to do that but the results were surprisingly clean.
Having said that, I've just noticed the squirrel humping that bird-feeder...

The mention of both Thunder Bird and 20/20 bring back some VERY bad memories.
One in particular involving a Cigar and your truly climeing the PA at my regular "Alternative" night to make a request of the DJ. That was the same night I knocked over an entire table of drinks, and denied it - in front of everybody
Also does anyone remember a cheaper version of Taboo? Cant remember the name ? I know I used to drink it with marshmallows in it. Something about the alcohol works more quickly with the sugar. Much fun was had I am sure
I think that they still make 20/20, although I must admit I have NOT been looking.
I stick to Stella and Red Wine these days and JD
