Nightclubs in Nottingham

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

rock city (obviously) for rock and goth -i think there's about 5 or 6 different rooms now covering all manner of rock...and "the blue print" (used to be the sky club) for techno/drum and bass (and gangstas -being as it is right in the middle of hyson green) . they're the only places i got to in notts these days i'm afraid.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

@BoF - What happens at the cookie club? I'm sure I've been there.

I've only been once but they were playing a lot of 80's stuff (not just goth) and it was just fun to bounce around to. It was in a flat above some shops that someone had painted black, added a mirrorball to the front room and set up as a nightclub

The small black-painted Cookie Club (on Pelham St) closed down some years ago. It moved to a much bigger venue on St James Street. Don't know if it's still there or what 'nights' it does.

Cheers Laz. It IS the one I thought it was. Used to go there when I was at Trent. Unfortunately I can't remember much else about the city or it's clubs due to my memory being erased. :innocent: It was a sweaty little place - I'm sure I saw god in there once. :)
