THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I dunno why you're all moaning about no new material, some of us waited 15 years for a new Fields of the nephilim album. It was just about worth waiting for and it looks like we'll be waiting another 15 for the promo tour. You Sisters fans don't know you're born!

15 years ? Nefilim anyone ?
You may not like it much, but it's still much better than SSV.
Beware, some HLers may even like it though.
I'd end this moment to be with you
Through morphic oceans I'd lay here with you

Well yeah there was Zoon but it was a bit s**t to say the least and Fallen which was worse still.Actually I thought SSV was a great idea,Von went back up in my book for completely ripping the p*ss out of Warners, imagine the faces of those irony free record company execs when they heard what they thought was going to be the next big SoM album.Ace stuff!

Brilliant!I might be a cheeky bastard and start a Neph appreciation thread when I've been on here a bit longer.I know they started off as Sisters copyists but *Whispers*didn't the pupils become the masters?

I get the irony too, but that doesn't make it a good, not even listenable, album. The fact that it was made to be bad doesn't make it good. (headache rushing my way)
No wonder Fallen is s**t :
- unofficial release
- demos
'twas never meant to see the light of day in the first place.
And I quite like the Zoon album.

Perhaps I should have said;15 years for an official Fields of the nephilim release.Zoon was Carl McCoy's solo project "The nefilim" and a deliberate attempt to escape the goth constraints of FotN,but its still crap.
And yes I agree SSV is terrible rubbish but it was never meant for us lot to hear in the first place.Doesn't Eldritch deny any involvement in its making anyway, apart from removing the drums from the final mix?

IMHO it's still better than Rubicon.

It was only meant to p*ss off the record company !

Zoon is an fantastic metal album. Tons heavier than most things that pass for heavy these days.
I also thought "Crazed" was a decent Rubicon song. The rest was rubbish, though.

Guilty!
ok, thats the two young men sorted. I have to be the deluded gimp then, he?
btw, what is a gimp? Someone who can not walk properly as my dictionary points out?
Put their heads on f*cking pikes in front of the venue for all I care.

I'd rather not define gimp - it took Blast and Scotty most of the evening to teach me how to tell the difference between a fud and an erse!
in the meantime I found it out myself on another dictionary:
Gimp: A male BDSM rubber/leather slave. Specificaly, refers to slave in full-body suit - eg, rubber leather enclosure suits, and (this is the key thing) a full head mask.
alrighty then....
